Metro lines

In France, Marseille is among the 6 cities that have an underground network,. It is managed by the Régie des Transports de Marseille called RTM, who are also in charge of the bus and tram network. To date, there are two metro lines running in Marseille, linking north to south and east to west: line M1 and line M2. The metro ticket price is set at 1.70€. The metro network generally runs every day from 5am to midnight.

Tramway

Marseille’s tramway is an excellent way to get around the city. The network covers key areas of the city, offering convenient connectivity for residents and visitors alike. Streetcars generally run from 5:00 to midnight, with a frequency of approximately 5 to 10 minutes on weekdays and 10 to 15 minutes at weekends. Timetables may vary slightly depending on the day of the week and the time of year. Specific transport passes, such as day tickets and monthly subscriptions, are also available. The ticket price is set at €180. It is valid for a single journey and a one-hour connection to other streetcar, bus or metro lines.

Marseille Buses

The city of Marseille offers a whole network bus lines linking the city to its surrounding towns. The Régie des Transports de Marseille has  (RTM) managed this network, as well as the metro and tramway, to ensure passengers to enjoy smooth routes. So far, the RTM operates a network of 93 bus lines, 3 tram lines and 2 metro lines. You can travel around the city from 5am to 9pm with the daytime service, and from 9pm to 0h30 with the night-time service. The ticket costs 1€70. The price may vary by simply recharging it. The latter is valide for one hour and can also be used for tram and metro as well.
