Reception is a priority: tourists are welcomed every day of the year (except for December 25th and January 1st) by some twenty multilingual travel advisors.
The 2nd priority is the international and national promotion of Marseille as a destination. This is achieved through the work of two departments:
- Promotion of business tourism and congresses ‘Convention bureau’
- Marketing and sales:
Overall, these two departments participate each year in several international trade fairs for professionals and the general public.
The promotion action is reinforced by a close link with the local, national and international media, carried out by the Press Department.
Attached to the Marketing and Sales Department:
The Products department is responsible for creating urban cultural products (guided tours, etc.), nautical products (diving, sea outings, etc.) and gastronomic products (bouillabaisse courses, introduction to oenology, etc.).
The Guided Tours Department offers tours of Marseille, the department and the region in 8 languages.
