Ciel Rooftop

At the restaurant entrance, there’s a small swing set up soyou can snap a few photos with the view to post on Instagram as a souvenir of your visit.

The Reformed

Perched atop the Artplexe cinema, the Réformés rooftop overlooks the Marseille neighbourhood from which it takes its name. On one side, it looks out over the Église des Réformés; on the other, the Basilica of Notre-Dame de la Garde. With a central location in Marseille, this venue has revitalised the neighbourhood, which had previously been underused. Boasting a very vintage décor, the cuisine served on this rooftop terrace is inventive and full of flavour. The menu features “seared octopus”, “beetroot tatin” and “charcoal-smoked trout”, all recipes made with local and regional produce. The R2

Combining the rooftop of Les Terrasses du Port and the restaurant Le Reverso, R2 forms part of a new events and dining area in Marseille. Boasting one of the best rooftop terraces in Europe, the Rooftop offers exceptional views of Marseille and the Mediterranean Sea, with the Frioul Islands and the Côte Bleue visible in the distance. With a capacity ofup to 2,000 people across a 1,250 m² space, this venue hosts a weekly programme featuring French and international artists and DJs who keep partygoers dancing until 2 am. This well-hidden rooftop (we bet you hadn’t heard of it yet!) is located on the corner of Rue de la Coutellerie and Rue de la Bonneterie, right above theHermès Hotel in Marseille, a 29-room establishment. The hotel bar welcomes you to its rooftop terracein spring and summer to enjoy an incredible view of the city and its Old Port, from the Panier district in the 2nd arrondissement.
