Open-air restaurant, Italian restaurant on the rooftop terrace of the Babel Community building (accessible by elevator at 17 rue Haxo to the 7th floor).
To mark its fifth anniversary, the restaurant is evolving its identity with a simple goal: to offer an experience where the food complements the setting, featuring a new menu naturally inspired by the flavors of the Mediterranean.
To support this evolution, The Babel Community has entrusted the kitchen to Chef Philippe Coulot, while Elisa Dufy, who has served as the restaurant’s director since late 2024, continues to focus on hospitality, service, and the customer experience.
A new kitchen team, enhanced training for the front-of-house staff, new work methods, new tableware, and a new menu of signature cocktails… every detail has been reimagined to create greater harmony between the venue, the service, and the food.
The goal is not to transform Ciel Rooftop into a fine-dining restaurant, but to evolve its identity while preserving what makes it a success: a welcoming spot where people gather for lunch, dinner with friends, a family meal, or after-work drinks with a few tapas to share.
This new identity is reflected in a menu designed to evolve with the seasons. Among the appetizers, the yellowtail crudo with black garlic and jalapeño pickles, the shrimp carpaccio with vegetarian chili, and the Mediterranean blue crab served with avocado and red bell pepper exemplify this Mediterranean cuisine open to other influences. The main courses alternate between reimagined classics and the chef’s original creations, including vitello tonnato, beef tataki, gnocchi with truffle cream, shrimp risotto with asparagus, and a daily special, created anew each day based on market arrivals and the chef’s inspiration. The menu also features tapas and pizzas to share, staying true to the restaurant’s convivial spirit.
