With 170 days of sunshine a year, Marseille is an ideal destination for enjoying the Mediterranean and the sun. The city boasts 21 beaches, including 6 private ones, ranging from small white sandy beaches to the large, well-maintained Prado beaches, as well as smaller, more intimate coves closer to the Calanques National Park. You can also admire the deep blue sea by taking the Corniche Kennedy, a road that overlooks the sea and features the world’s longest sandbank, stretching for 3km! The Corniche also has a great cycle path from the city centre to the Prado beaches.
