Lancement de livre - Your Body of Water de Siouxzi Connor

Where does the body end and a body of water begin?  Celebrating the book launch in France of “Your Body of Water” by Siouxzi Connor (Repeater Books, London), the author will give a live reading from some of the autofictional book’s most diverse chapters: from a teenager in Australia falling in love with a river, to an encounter with Leda’s swan in Berlin’s club scene, to an increasingly bizarre entanglement with an ageless, swampy matriarch during Lisbon’s COVID lockdown.  It will be followed by a lively discussion with the book’s editor Christopher DeVeau, on blurring the boundaries between autofiction and myth, the porosity of the human body with more-than-human worlds and the potential for literature to expose the complexity and often contradictory nature of the “self”. The audience will also have the chance to jump in with questions and to experience the custom-made scent based on the book’s narrative worlds.  Author talk + audience Q&A + book signing
