Concert
Before being a musician, JiJi is a multimedia artist. Her songs are originally some poems she gathers in self-edited fanzines. Through a need to share her words more directly and sensibly, she borrows her roommates’ guitar, strums a bit, and tries her hand at singing. It’s never polish, perfect, not all the time melodious, but it’s sincere. Inspired by the “spoken word” movement and the anti-folk musical genre, her songs are an invitation to experience vulnerability as something beautiful, powerful and exhilarating.
