Description
Anne-Lise Polchlopek is accompanied by conductor and pianist Federico Tibone, who has previously served as assistant to Lawrence Foster and Michele Spotti at the Marseille Opera.
“I conceived this recital as a gift, a grand love letter to say thank you.
This musical journey is a hymn to life, a universal song meant to bring people together.” This is how mezzo-soprano Anne-Lise Polchlopek describes her debut album. “A deeply moving album,” wrote Le Monde.
She is accompanied by conductor and pianist Federico Tibone, formerly assistant to Lawrence Foster and Michele Spotti at the Opéra de Marseille.
The duo builds bridges instead of walls. Mozart meets Violeta Parra, and Bernstein winks at Cécile Chaminade over Fauré’s shoulder. Opera rubs shoulders with song. Brel’s “Les Vieux amants” becomes a classic when Cherubino’s aria takes on a folk-like quality.
