A globally recognized hotel eco-label

This device is an incentive program for a Green Key label for the tourist accommodation sector in our territory: this program developed in partnership with the City of Marseille, the CCIMP, the UMIH and the GNC began in early 2020 and will be deployed until 2024 for the Olympic Games. During this first year, 9 supported establishments obtained the labelling, a national record, making Marseille the most endowed city in France, this year, in terms of new recipients.

Recognised around the world as the first hotel eco-label, with 3,200 certified establishments in 65 countries, this distinction decorates establishments that follow an eco-responsible approach.

Numerous criteria to respect

Environmental awareness and training of employees, water and waste management, living environment … These are some of the criteria on the list to qualify for the Green Key label. This internationally recognized label rewards establishments for the environmental policy they carry out.

The Nhow Marseille Palm Beach, the Carré Vieux-Port, the Ryad Boutique Hotel, La Residence du Vieux-Port, the 96 Hotel, the InterContinental Marseille – Hotel Dieu, the Best Western Plus La Joliette, the Terminus Saint-Charles and the C2 joined the Radisson Blu, the Bellevue Hotel and two youth hostels in the 8th and 12th districts in attaining the Green Key eco-label.
