The Noctilio , the bar by the sea at Fort Saint-Jean

An original place to enjoy an aperitif by the beach, the Noctilio is a baltic trader built in 1930 which moored at the foot of Fort Saint Jean in Marseille. The largest sailing ship in the Old Port, it offers a dockside bar and a quality catering between april and october. It  offers  a breathtaking panoramic view of la ‘Bonne mère’, le Pharo and all the boats entering and leaving the port. Weather permitting, the boat unfurls its sails for  a private cruise to  the Frioul islands where you can enjoy a  swim in a secluded cove before sitting down to enjoy refined, generous cuisine based on seafood.

Located by the seaside in the  7th district, le Petit Pavillon is ideally located to  enjoy landscape and a direct view on the  sea. It offers a  relaxing moment at  any  time of the  day with your feet in the  water. Relax on a deckchair and sip  a drink, enjoy a Mediterranean dish or  an ice  cream. As  weel as  being a bar restaurant, le petit  pavillon also  organised themed evenings throughout the  summer in a separate part of the  establishment.

Just in front of Borely beach, close to the  hypodrome is a multifunctional complex including  bars and restaurants ,ice cream shops and stores but  also private  beaches and seasonal activities (bicycle, roller, windsurfing) Among all these must see places to enjoy an aperetif  by the seaside, you will be  able to  find (since the Escale borely’screation) emblamatic establishments such as  : SportBeach, l’Equinoxe, the Greenwich or  Indigo Café. The establishment is located on  the  abri-cotier beach, between the  ‘Bain des Dames et l’Anse des Sablettes.’

For those who wants to admire the  sunset, the  catering is continuous and  mixes pizzas , salads and others  traditionnal dishes.
