Prado seaside park

In some squares, the playgrounds can still be used but are under the responsibility of the parents who must ensure that the sanitary rules are respected and, in particular, that the children are physically distanced.



Before 1975, despite its 20 km of sea front, Marseille did not have any facilities allowing bathers easy access to the sea.

With the creation of the Prado seaside park, 26 hectares of green spaces now blend in with 10 hectares of sandy beaches. Beaches that follow one another over nearly 2 km. The realization of such a facility on the 40 hectares reclaimed from the sea was a real challenge because of the many constraints of the site (storms, sea spray, mistral, pollution ...). Every year, three and a half million visitors enjoy the lawns, which are fully accessible to the public, the esplanades, the rest and play areas.

The park is very user-friendly and its multiple facets make it attractive in all seasons. In addition, an internationally renowned skateboard track is available to all skateboarding enthusiasts.
