Marseille Tourist Office and Convention Bureau

Discover Marseille thanks to the advice of the Tourist Office, which will be able to tell you all about the city’s must-sees and all the visits you can make to the heart of the Cité Phocéenne. It was in 1966 that Marseille was granted its own Municipal Tourist Office by prefectoral decree.

The Marseille Tourism, Leisure and Convention Bureau, a public industrial and commercial establishment (EPIC), has the same status as a privately-run organisation, as its administrative and financial structure enables it to carry out local tourism activities.

Our missions

In application of the tourism policy decided by the City of Marseille, the Marseille Convention and Visitors Bureau has three essential missions:

  • To welcome tourists to the city and to the Office;
  • To promote the city to the outside world (trade fairs, workshops, press, tour operators, agencies, conference organisers, etc.).
  • Bringing together professionals and developing existing tourist offers (professional club, product development, city pass, central booking office, etc.).
  • Observing and analysing data in order to quantify and decipher changes in the sector, decipher market trends and support the City of Marseille’s development strategy towards more inclusive and sustainable tourism.

Who do we welcome?

Tourists who are preparing their stay and would like information when they are already in Marseille. They can buy tourist products directly from the Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Tourism professionals from outside Marseille who are looking to organise operations in Marseille: tour operators, agencies, conference organisers, etc.

Marseille-based professionals, to help them structure their offer and promote and/or market it.

Investors, to advise and guide them in their choice of location (hotels, restaurants, sporting activities, etc.).
