Le Don du Vent is an auric ketch from the 1930s, passionately restored in the grand yachting tradition.
  • Marseille Durable
Le Don du vent is committed to sustainable tourism, and has been awarded the "Esprit Parc National" label, which recognizes local know-how and authentic production methods that respect the exceptional nature of national parks. The company's approach is reflected in its role as ambassador for the "Plastic Pirates Flotilla" (a beach clean-up initiative), using wind power as its main source of energy and the engine only for maneuvering in port, and having its own on-board chef who cooks local, short-circuit and sustainable agricultural produce: biodynamic wines, seasonal produce.... for an 80% reduction in plastic packaging. Le Don du vent is also keen to develop local partnerships, such as with a Marseilles-based designer for saddlery and an urban farm. Only natural, sea-friendly products are used for boat maintenance (white vinegar and Marseille soap, deck washed with seawater). Plans are underway to convert the diesel engine to a hydrogen engine.
