As part of its exhibitions, the Musée Regards de Provence is organizing a series of watercolor workshops led by artist Benjamin Chasselon for adults and all generations, to experience our heritage and works of art in a new way.
Watercolor workshops by Benjamin Chasselon " Les calanques, entre lumière et couleurs " (The creeks, between light and color)
The workshop is based on photographs of the calanques taken by Benjamin Chasselon himself. These carefully selected shots will be used to reproduce the distinctive atmospheres of these coastal landscapes.
This workshop is open to all watercolor enthusiasts and amateurs, beginners or advanced, wishing to discover an artistic technique or perfect their practice.
The aim is to discover how to capture the crystalline transparency of the water, the golden reflections of the sun on the limestone rocks and the delicate nuances of the colored shadows that punctuate these exceptional landscapes. Benjamin Chasselon will share his know-how, tips and artist's eye to help you master the specific techniques of watercolor: managing transparencies and superimpositions, to translate the airy, fluid aspect of water; rendering light and contrasts, to recreate the liveliness of sun-drenched landscapes; subtle color blends, to obtain colored grays and other delicate tones specific to the shadows of the calanques.
