Bistrot chez Toto

This spot is located just below Vauban, a neighbourhood occupied by happy Parisians. Take a run up and climb from the Vieux Port, or make your way down from Vauban. This is the kind of eatery you’d find in Paris in years gone by, with red and white checked tablecloths, French recipes such as Burgundy snails served up in ramekins, beef-tongue salad,duck confit, a plate of ‘coquillettes jambon’ and wine ‘à la ficelle’ (you’ll only pay for what you drink). This is the kind of thing Marseille has been missing. For us, it’s a bit exotic.
