Where and when?

The next edition of “La voie est libre” will take place on Sunday April 21 from 10am to 8pm. A day when traffic will be gentle and serene, when everyone will be able to take full advantage of Marseille’s coastline and sunshine, and finally reclaim public space. The pedestrian route will cover the Corniche Kennedy between Catalans beach and Talabot. Along the way, toilets and information points will be available for everyone, as well as cultural, sporting and musical events in which everyone is invited to take part if they wish. Scooters, bicycles, tandems, rosalies and even triplets will be available for self-service along the promenade. Swedish gym sessions (10am) and yoga sessions (11am) will be held on the Prophète beach. For this year’s event, the Perron Cieussa will be hosting a “tribute to Marcel Pagnol”. Between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Card game on stage 1, a giant “contrée” tournament where young and old are invited to try their hand.
If you feel peckish along the way, foodtrucks will be on hand to satisfy your every craving. There’ll also be entertainment such as stilt-walkers and jugglers, street music, jazz bands and gospel music – enough to put you in a good mood all day long!

For motorists

For those who will be driving, don’t worry! Detour will be in place for the duration of these special measures, to ensure that everything goes smoothly! These measures do not apply to emergency vehicles (and local residents, but only in emergencies).
