Meet Laure Prouvost at the Centre de la Vieille Charité.
The Musées de Marseille are renewing their invitations to some of the most important artists on the international scene to create new works in close connection with the history and architecture of the chapel at the Centre de la Vieille Charité.
Laure Prouvost will deploy a monumental installation that she sees as a maternal and fertile figure, also summoning the memories of those who, over the last three centuries, have inhabited and brought to life this space and the Panier district. A dreamlike, underwater-influenced surprise, shimmering with aquatic reflections, that will involve audience participation.

Echoing this project, and starting in May 2025, the [mac] Musée d'art contemporain de Marseille will present in the [mac]room Laure Prouvost's film They Parlaient Idéale - Film produced for the 2019 Venice Biennale - French Pavilion "Deep See Blue Surrounding You / VoisCe Bleu Profond Te Fondre" and integrated into the municipal collections [from May 17, 2025 to January 11, 2026].
