The European Archaeology Days in Marseille is a program full of history and anecdotes in emblematic places of the sea-side City, such as the History Museum, the Natural History Museum or the Calanques National Park; but also in lesser-known places such as the archaeological site of ‘Baou de Saint-Marcel’, the military fortifications of the ‘Pointe Sud’ or the ‘Oppidum du Verduron’. Within the framework of these days, the Office of Tourism and Congresses of Marseille has set up two special guided tours : the visit of “Notre-Dame de la Garde” basilica, and one of the cathedral “La Major”.
