Eglise La Sainte Trinité

Historic site and monument, Religious heritage, Church in Marseille 1er

  • This parish church, consecrated in 1829, was built on a plot of the former Trinitarian Convent ( Couvent des Trinitaires). The semi-circular baptistery, located on the left as you enter, is vaulted in a " cul-de-four" ( a vault in a shape of a quarter sphere). Beautiful paintings by Dominique Magaud' (19th century) and his sister Marie, representing the baptism of Christ, and Saint Michael with a child. A large cross overhangs the baptismal basin.
