Chez Tim

Chez Tim is the new place to go for lunch on Place du 4 septembre! Chef Tim cooks different takeaway dishes every day depending on what’s in season (focaccia, panisses, bagnat, sandwich, burger or tielle and lots more), always with a vegan option. It’s tasty, well-cooked and inexpensive – we love it! Tuesday to Saturday, from 10am for a coffee and until 3pm for your takeaway lunch.

Paninoteca la Presse

In this former press office, you’ll now find the crème de la crème of Italian sandwiches at Paninoteca! These mouth-watering paninos will be a treat for your lunch break on the beach or at the office, with a menu that changes frequently depending on what’s available and the season. Don’t forget to get there early, as this place is always busy, whether you’re eating in or taking away. Open Monday to Friday from 11.30am to 4pm.

Razzia

For a quick meal on Cours Julien, head to Razzia Marseille! Axelle lovingly prepares hearty sandwiches, including a veggie recipe and a meat recipe. The menu is small but delicious, with seasonal ingredients. A must if you’re passing through Notre-Dame du Mont! Open Tuesday to Saturday, 8.30am to 6pm.

I Veri Gnocchi

I Veri Gnocchi is the place to go for your gourmet lunch breaks! With two locations on rue Dieudé and rue du jeune Anarcharsis, everything is 100% home-made, with a wide choice of sauces to suit all diets. So why not meet up for a tasty lunch?

Bagnat

Head to Bagnat in Saint-Victor for the best pan bagnats in Marseille! Behind the candy pink façade, Diane and François offer a pretty menu with the classic bagnat (faithful to the pan bagnat charter), and several original sandwiches such as burrata and mortadella (super generous burrata!), the new pan saucisse and even a veggie option. A must-try if you’re in the neighbourhood! Open Tuesday to Saturday lunchtimes.

Chez Fanny

Chez Fanny is the unmissable institution on rue Bonneterie near the Panier district. Every lunchtime on weekdays, locals and connoisseurs flock here for hearty sandwiches (with a special mention for the Gros Dédé), hot dishes and homemade burgers. Make sure you get there early to avoid queuing!

Aukia

Aukia is the new concept in mobile sandwich shops! Created by Aurélie and Kiana, this three-wheeled scooter with its “3 wheels and taste! The two friends unveiled the location of the three-wheeler a few hours beforehand, and for €13 (including drinks and dessert) you can enjoy delicious sandwiches made with delicious Corsican products, among other things! Soon the triporteur will have different fixed points depending on the day, to build customer loyalty and allow everyone to come and enjoy it.

Limon

Did you know you could enjoy delicious sandwiches at the top of the Canebière? Limon offers a range of sandwiches with seasonal vegetables, cheese, meat or fish, homemade pickles, all in beautiful colours for your Instagram post. Olivier, the chef, has worked at Les Grandes Tables and Gilda, so he’s a master of the restaurant business! Every lunchtime you’ll find a veggie option, a meat option, a bowl and a dessert. Bonus: Olivier also offers a catering service! Open for lunch every day except weekends.

Dwish

Dwish is THE artisanal sandwich shop in the Edmond Rostand district not to be missed. The aim of the place is to restore the reputation of your lunchtime sandwich. Only fresh, homemade and/or local produce is used here (we particularly recommend the raclette from Les copains de la Meulerie or the Parigot with ham from Maison Payany). Everything is done in an eco-responsible way (zero plastic, deposits, reduced packaging, seasonal products), and Mathieu, the Chef and creator of Dwish, also pays particular attention to the desserts for those with a sweet tooth! Open for lunch every day except weekends.

Gazette

This former newsagent’s on the Boulevard de la Corderie has been taken over by the Gazette team to offer Italian food on the go! On the menu are homemade sandwiches, with puccia bread from Puglia, and several original recipes: meatballs like the nonna’s, pulled pork, chicken or mortadella with truffles. The restaurant also has a delicatessen section for you to enjoy. Gazette is open for lunch every day from Monday to Saturday, and it’s a real treat.

Pain à l'ail

This is the place to go for authentic Provençal street food at lunchtime! In sandwich form (aïoli, daube or bouillabaisse), with original recipes depending on the season (the sea urchin omelette is a real treat), this small restaurant with terrace on rue de la Tour continues to attract tourists and locals from Monday to Saturday lunchtimes.
