Every summer, Château-Gombert celebrates the dances and traditions of the world through its folklore festival. 2026 will be its 62nd edition.
Since its first edition in 1965, the Festival International de Folklore de Château-Gombert has established itself as an essential cultural event for the people of Marseille and Provence. Every summer for the past 61 years, Château-Gombert has showcased the dances, songs and traditions of the world on a 200 m² stage in the beautiful 1,000-seat open-air theater, erected for the occasion on the grounds of the boulodrome. Guest groups come from Argentina, Brazil, the Solomon Islands, Slovakia and France.
