Meet Marseille’s educational farms

Among the various tools developed by the city of Marseille to raise awareness and educate people about the environment, educational farms are the most practical way for city dwellers to renew contact with the rural world. They give young people a chance to discover the work of the land and agricultural production through animals and culture.

Talus urban farm

Farmers’ market every Friday at the Talus urban farm from 3pm to 7pm, selling products direct from producer to consumer, and discovering the richness and diversity of our region’s produce! What’s more, 100% of the funds raised will be used to finance the construction of the Le Talus urban farm. This not-for-profit project aims to create a space dedicated to innovation, sharing and education around urban agriculture in Marseille. This former wasteland is intended to be a showcase for sustainable alternatives in terms of ecological transition.
