Little train of Marseille

3 different tours with multilingual commentaries! An unusual and charming way to walk up from the Old Port to the Basilica of Notre-Dame de la Garde, to stroll through the old streets of Le Panier, the oldest district in France, or to visit the island of Frioul.
Privatisation of trains is possible for groups. Train capacity: 60 people

Circuit 1 : Little train to the Basilica Notre-Dame de la Garde

Departure : 174 Quai du Port, 13002 Marseille (150m away from the Town Hall)
Works all year round. Departures every 20 minutes in the high season.
Commented touristic circuit of 1h15 which passes through the Old Port, the Forts, the Vallon des Auffes, the Corniche seaside road and basilica Notre-Dame de la Garde (stop of 20 minutes or more) with panoramic view of the town.
Individual rates: adult 8€ – child (from 3 to 11 years old): 4€.
Group rates for adults: 7€ and children (from 3 to 11 years old): 3€.

Circuit 2 : Little train of the old Marseille “Le Panier”.

Departure 174 Quai du Port, 13002 Marseille (150m from the Town Hall). Works all year round.
Commented tour of 1h15 through the Panier: the oldest district of Marseille, passing by the Cathedral of the Major, the Hôtel Dieu, and the Vieille Charité monument, the Mucem, Les Terrasses du Port shopping centre (30 min stop in the Panier district and possibility to stop at the Terrasses du Port’s mall).
Individual rates: adult 8€ – child (from 3 to 11 years old): 4€.
Group rates: adult 7 € – child (from 3 to 11 years old): 3€.

 

Circuit 3: The Frioul Islands

The Marseille’s little train stops on the Frioul islands during the summer season in July and August.
The seaside circuit allows you to discover the Caroline Hospital, a listed building, as well as the Sainte Estève beach located next to Fort Ratonneau, from where you can admire the If Castle  and the harbour of Marseille.

Departure: in front of the landing stage, depending on the sea shuttles.
Duration of the tour : 30 mn approximately
