Polpul'Airs

Since it was first established, the festival has welcomed more than 110 countries and almost as many different groups. Folklore is a science. Everyone finds common themes and shared values in folklore. These research and recording efforts will only be successful on a wide scale if a broader audience has access to them. This is what makes folklore festivals so useful and gives them a reason to exist: they increase the opportunities for discovery by offering international groups the chance to travel in order to show off their heritage. This year again, more than 300 artistes from around the world will be coming to delight audiences in Château-Gombert.
