Musée Regards de Provence - Self visit

The Museum Regards de Provence combines modern and contemporary art and reveals temporary individual and collective thematic exhibitions, highlighting the artistic heritage of the South and the Mediterranean. Installed on the seafront of Marseille, it is a place of history which housed the former sanitary station of Fernand Pouillon intimately linked to port life, labeled Heritage of the 20th century. It presents throughout the year an artistic, immersive and historical documentary on the memory of the Sanitary Station.
This building is a port heritage with modernist architecture in the "liner" style, sober, functional and unique in its kind.
Its geographical location is remarkable in the heart of the new cultural, tourist and economic center of Marseille and it benefits from a panoramic view of the port of La Joliette and the J4 esplanade, facing the majestic architectures of the Mucem and the Grotte Cosquer. It also houses the Regards de Provence boutique bookshop and the panoramic roof-terrace restaurant Regards Café.
