    Tribute to Matoub Lounes

Lounès Matoub, more commonly known as Matoub Lounès, is a singer, composer and poet, who is renowned for his commitment to the Amazigh (Berber) cause. He was assassinated because of his convictions in June 1998.

Artists: Zedek Mouloud / Chérif Hamani

    Zedek Mouloud
Zedek Mouloud has enchanted the public through song for 23 years. His first album was recorded in France in 1983. Mouloud likes to tell stories about this eventful recording. For him, music and poetry are in the heart and blood. When a song arrives, it arrives in its complete form – a poetic and musical whole. If he remembers it all, it is worth keeping. If not, the song disappears and he forgets it.

    Chérif Hamani
Chérif Hamani is an artist who is committed to supporting democracy and the Amazigh (Berber) cause alongside his fellow Kabyles. His warm and mysterious voice, that is both rough and clear, comes straight from the heart. His texts are the result of extensive research and are perfectly suited to his mandolin-guitar, which he plays with incredible skill. This talented musician and singer is a Berber music star.
