Our eco-responsible guided tours

The Marseille Metropolitan Tourist Office offers many guided tours each week, some of them are geared towards more responsible tourism. With the Balade buissonnière tour, you will discover the biodiversity in the city as well as the urban flora.  With a visit to the Belsunce neighborhood you will meet commited locals and places of artistic creation. Visiting the Parc du Roy d’Espagne will make you discover a surprising residence!

Take advantage of your stay to discover the organic markets and locals producers who offer you seasonal and regional products.

  • In the city centre:

Marché paysan de la friche : Every Monday from 4 to 8pm. You will find small local producers at this market. Cheesemakers, bakers, market gardeners, beekeepers and many others.
Le petit marché de Zoumaï (cours gouffé)
Every Saturday from 10am to 1pm, organic vegetables, organic bread, wine, coffee and local beer!
The small Calanques market : It is held every Tuesday from 10am to 1pm on the esplanade of the Calanques theatre in the 8th district of Marseille. You will find market gardeners, pork butchers, organic bread, wine etc…
 Cours Julien organic market : It takes place every Wednesday from 7am to 1pm. You will find about thirty local producers.
Carré Méry Farmers Markets: At the foot of the ‘Intercontinental Hotel Dieu’, this small market welcomes every Thursday afternoon around ten organic and local producers.

  • A little further on :

Saint Pierre market: local and organic producers in a festive and Provençal atmosphere

Aygalade market: Organized at the “Cité des arts de la rue”, the ‘Locavores’ monthly meeting allows you to find lots of meat, cheese, vegetables, breads or olive oil. Conferences and discovery of the territory are also organized. Every first Sunday of the month/ 225 avenue des Aygalades 13015
Terre de Mars : Market directly from the farm, organic market offering seasonal fruit and vegetables grown by ‘Terre de Mars’ on site. Every Monday from 3pm to 7pm / 6 rue bertholot 13014

Events and outings in Marseille

Enjoy an outdoor outing in a natural and protected setting, the ‘l’Automne des Calanques’ (Autum in the Calanques) this year, highlights the links between nature and culture! open-air shows, walks, historical reconstructions, heritage restoration sites…more than 30 free outings between Marseille, Cassis and La Ciotat, from September 23 to November 14, 2021.  Come and  combine your love for sport with your love of nature at Relais Sport Planète. This initiative, which was born in Marseille, aims to bring together high-level sportmen and amateurs for a giant multi-sport relay rallying Chamonix  to Nice, with a stopover in our city of Marseille on November 18. This event is organized around a conference on “Waste from the Earth to the Sea”, an exhibition on the work of the collective” A Bottle to the Sea”, on the 17 objectives of sustainable development as seen by Yann Arthus Bertrand, and a “plogging” race combining running and waste collection at the mouth of the Huveaune.
Fight against marine waste with your family! Les Docks village is offering 3 creative workshops for children from 21 October to 7 November.

“La voie est libre” (meaning the way is free, is closed to cars, bus ) is back!  On November 14th, come and enjoy the view from the Corniche, cultural animations, sports and facilities will be available to walkers throughout the day, on your rollerblades, so ready? go!
