Embarkation areas

Boarding sites
There are two boat terminals on the port where 8 boats and 5 ferries can dock at the same time.

  • The Joliette site in the city centre is for small luxury tourist boats. Cruise ships measuring up to 200 metres can dock at post J4.

  • The Môle Léon Gourret welcomes the largest ferries at docks 162, 163, 181, 183, 186, 2 and 3.

Boarding mostly takes place at the latter terminal as it has all the facilities and services which passengers expect.

Services for boarding and disembarking passengers
There is a supervised car park near the boarding sites for passengers driving to the terminal and wishing to leave their car here for the length of their cruise or for a short period.
Porters take care of the passengers’ luggage when boarding and disembarking.
The Marseille Provence Cruise Terminal provides a range of services:
Taxis, snack-bar, telephone, Provençal market, tourist information office, automatic ticket machine, sixty check-in counters and a footbridge to get on the boat without having to go on the quay.
