Course Nationale de l’Intégration Algernon

Algernon, a "1901 law" athletic and cultural association, affiliated with the FFSA (French Federation of Adapted Sports), aims to foster the participation of mentally disabled people in athletic and cultural activities. The association organises a footrace that takes place on the second Sunday of October. With three simultaneous races (5, 10 and 16 km), both the disabled and the able-bodied come together at the finish line at the Prado beach. Above all, this race is a call for solidarity. Several thousand participants come together for the race which aims to symbolise integration: participants can go at their own speed, depending on their own capabilities. All three races start at 10 am sharp. The finish line is at the Prado beach (David statue). 2-hour delay for the results. 11 am: awards ceremony for the Trophées de la Solidarité and the Coupes de l'Intégration among other awards. Entertainment from 10 am to 2 pm. The courses are: 16 km (for advanced runners only) from Luminy, 10 km from the Vélodrome stadium, 5 km from the Pharo gardens.

The most picturesque race on Mediterranean roads promises another opportunity for an extraordinary experience for all running enthusiasts, beginners and experienced runners alike. Established in 1979 by the SCO Sainte-Marguerite athletic association, the "Marseille-Cassis" footrace (20.308 km) attracts around 15,000 anonymous and top-level runners on the last Sunday in October. Over time, it has become a key sports event in the region with thousands of spectators gathering along the route, garnering extensive media coverage.
Indeed, the participants enjoy a spectacular route, with the Calanques in the background and an overall atmosphere that is friendly and festive. Starting at the Vélodrome stadium, the participants take on the "Gineste" and continue along the Carpiagne plateau, passing through scrub and garrigue landscapes before heading down to Cassis and its small port, a short distance from the water! This road competition is listed on the FFA (French Athletics Federation) schedule and is an IAAF label event listed on the International Association of Athletics Federation schedule, ranked among the top 50 races around the world - IAAF Silver Label Road Races 2011.
With a focus on values such as respect, surpassing oneself and fun, the "Classique Internationale Marseille-Cassis" has become a reference in terms of organisation, thanks to the incredible dedication of the 600 volunteers involved in the event and the professionalism of the event's various partners. New in 2011: The "Women's Challenge", the "Seniors' Challenge" with Premalliance, the "Organisers' Challenge".
Les 10 km de la Provence

Open to all, adults and children, this athletic event features a range of entertainment options in addition to the main event: the 10 km race.
In 2010, over 1600 adults and 800 children registered for this competitive event that is qualifying for the FFA France championship.
Marseille Marathon

The Marseille Marathon returns for a 4th edition, welcoming French and foreign marathon runners and athletes to Marseille on March 25th 2012.
The 2011 edition was a record-breaking event with over 6,000 runners (all races combined), women’s and men's marathon records were broken with the victory of Benoit Z in 2'19"29 and Silveira Léopoldina in 2’54’’27. To make this event even more attractive, in addition to the marathon, the semi-marathon, the Relais des Entreprises race, the Relais du Conseil Régional PACA race and MarathonKids, a new women's competition "La Ladies" has been established. The purpose of the semi-marathon and the Relais races is to allow as many people as possible to participate in the Marseille Marathon. "Sports for all" and enjoying the exploration of Marseille are the priorities of these races. La Ladies: new in 2012, the goal of this race is to allow women, sports enthusiasts or not, to participate in the Marseille Marathon and to provide an introduction to foot racing. The goal of MarathonKids is to raise awareness about sports for children, by providing them with an opportunity to start and finish at the same place as older participants, or even their parents. Friendliness, hospitality, festiveness and fun remain the core values of the Marseille Marathon. The organisers and the city of Marseille join all the Marseille Marathon partners in wishing a successful training to all the marathon runners and athletes, we look forward to seeing you in the Phocaean city on March 25th.
Les 10 km du Conseil Général

Location : start and finish line at place Castellane, via the Mazargues obelisk.
A footrace with an international scope, the 10 km du Conseil Général race welcomes amateur runners and top-level athletes for a round-trip race through the heart of Marseille, with the start and finish line at place Castellane, via the Mazargues obelisk.
A thousand participants gather for this event which, since 2008, has become the fastest footrace in France for the distance, thanks to the excellent time of 27'28" set by the Kenyan runner, Silas KIPRUTO, who also made the second best time in the world for 10 km in the same year.
The winner of the 2008 race was again victorious in 2009 (27'34") and in 2010 (27'31"); ranked 10th best in the world for 2010 and 2nd best time for the 10 km du Conseil Général.
